Mewstone Ledges
Diving
Mewstone Ledges area generally has good visibility as the whole area is predominantly rock based. Around the 20-25m mark there are some lovely deep gullies full of Urchins and the occasional Monkfish. The area supports a variety of marine life including Dogfish, Pollock, Bull-Huss (Like large Dogfish) Spider crab and Lobster. This area is good for a drift dive.
Always use an SMB on this site as wind conditions sometimes make it difficult for the skipper to keep tabs of the diver’s bubbles and there is usually a lot of pleasure craft making passage through this area.
